NOTICE OF RULE ALTERATION APPLICATION
The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union has made application to Fair Work Commission for alteration to Rule 48 of the Rules of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union, and insertion of new rule 48B.
A notice in accordance with Regulation 126(1)(a) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Regulations 2009 setting out the particulars of the alteration has been lodged with the Fair Work Commission.

Amalgamation Post Ballot Report Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 MARITIME UNION OF AUSTRALIA, THE
Members are advised that in accordance with s68 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 a copy of the amalgamation post ballot reports issued by the Australian Electoral Commission in relation to the proposed amalgamation of the CFMEU, MUA and TCFUA can be obtained from the AEC on the request of a member who was eligible to vote in the amalgamation ballot.

In accordance with good governance and to ensure accountability to members, the CFMEU rules require that the policies and procedures governing expenditure are published on the union’s website . These policies and procedures, adopted by resolution of the union’s National Executive, are binding on all officers and employees of all Divisions of the union.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has provided the union with a copy of the post-election report for the CFMEU Construction and General Division Divisional Branch elections conducted in 2016. A copy of that report is available from the Union or relevant Branch thereof, or from the AEC, on the request of a member who was eligible to vote in the election. This notice is published in accordance with Regulation 141(4) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Regulations 2009.

The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union has lodged particulars of alterations of the union’s rules with the Fair Work Commission in accordance with regulation 126 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Regulations 2009. The alterations sought to be made vary rules 13 and 15 of the union’s rules and also seek to insert a new rule 13A and 13B.
